Money MattersThis workshop takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays 15.15 to 17.00 pm both days. Tutor: David Newall Dealing with money can sometimes be difficult for adults with Aspergers or Autism. This course aims to ensure that individuals have the knowledge and skills of finance so to aid with independence. Covering a variety of topics, from balancing a budget to coming to grips with the financial world around us, Money Matters is member lead, allowing for group discussions of situations, role playing and examining the day to day problems that can occur, even including how one tries to reduce the risk of debt. Quite often, changes in the world around us means that our own finances are effected. This course looks at how long term planning can aid with establishing a long term, secure financial future. This may sound all rather dull, as finances can often seem, but the presentation methods ensure that it’s not all sitting around reading the Financial Times!
